I got a call a few Tuesdays from one of my best friends, who also happened to be the maid of honor in my wedding almost four years ago. She has moved two hours away and, unfortunately, we just don’t get to see each other or talk nearly as much as we used to.

After about a half an hour of catching up with the usual talk about our kids, my husband, her fiancée, work and what else we have been up to, Jen decides to tell me she has some news.

She said, “Nick and I are getting married.” “I know,” I said.

“No, we are getting married THIS FRIDAY. At the courthouse here in Logansport,” she replied.

Needless to say, I was a little surprised! She waited a full 30 minutes before telling me this?!?!

We got off of the phone (note, I was still in a little bit of shock), and I realized I didn’t tell her I was coming!

I immediately texted her to inform her that I was not only coming, but I would be shooting the wedding as a gift. She told me she didn’t want to impose. I insisted. She relented.

I am so glad she did. Not only did I get to spend some much needed extra time with Jen and her new family, they will have photos to remember their special day forever.

I am really excited and a little bit nervous about this post…my first wedding!

You may remember Dena and Jay from their sneak peek I posted last week… They were married on June 5 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis. It was a beautiful but HOT day!

This weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Dena’s wedding to Jay at the Scottish Rite Cathedral here in Indianapolis. Here’s a sneak peek to hold them over until they return from Aruba! I hope you have an amazing time!

As I promised, more photos from my friend Amanda’s wedding. To be clear, I was not the hired photographer for this wedding. These are merely my own documentation of the beautiful event.

This was literally one of the most stunning settings I have ever seen. It was just amazing. I’ll start with a few images from The Sea Ranch itself.
