These high school sweethearts have been busy…on top of getting engaged and planning their June wedding, they just graduated from Anderson University last weekend and are now planning a big move.

Who’s idea was it to make blueberry pancakes for Easter? Oh yeah…it was mine! Our little piglet loved them, and he has the blue fingernails to prove it! What a mess!

My how time flies…my little monkey turned one a few weeks ago. I still can’t believe it has been a year already!

Look at how big he’s gotten!

We had a cute Sesame Street party, and no, I’m not that super crafty Martha Stewart-like mom that makes everything. Believe it or not, these adorable “double” cupcakes were from Kroger! They did a great job!

Sam really got into it, although he wasn’t quite sure what to do at first. I think he was a little taken back with everyone staring at him!

Look at Big Bird…perfectly balanced on that big old noggin!

He eventually dug right in!

I got a call a few Tuesdays from one of my best friends, who also happened to be the maid of honor in my wedding almost four years ago. She has moved two hours away and, unfortunately, we just don’t get to see each other or talk nearly as much as we used to.

After about a half an hour of catching up with the usual talk about our kids, my husband, her fiancée, work and what else we have been up to, Jen decides to tell me she has some news.

She said, “Nick and I are getting married.” “I know,” I said.

“No, we are getting married THIS FRIDAY. At the courthouse here in Logansport,” she replied.

Needless to say, I was a little surprised! She waited a full 30 minutes before telling me this?!?!

We got off of the phone (note, I was still in a little bit of shock), and I realized I didn’t tell her I was coming!

I immediately texted her to inform her that I was not only coming, but I would be shooting the wedding as a gift. She told me she didn’t want to impose. I insisted. She relented.

I am so glad she did. Not only did I get to spend some much needed extra time with Jen and her new family, they will have photos to remember their special day forever.

This lovely red headed lady is Macy!

I can’t believe she is graduating this year…you see, Macy’s mom and I go wwwwwaaaaaayyyyy back. I’m talking so far back we actually went to a Whitney Houston concert together the summer after eighth grade. Yes, Julie, I just put that out there.

This one is one of my favorites. I love how it shows Macy’s serious side, which she will have to bring out a lot next year…Macy is going to be a veterinarian! Isn’t that awesome? She is debating between going to the University of Cincinnati and Purdue University (Boiler Up!). I’m sure she’ll do great wherever she goes!
